Obama's Inaugural Address was inspiring and yet strongly unsentimental. Here is my favorite line so far:

...there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task.Reminds me of the medieval Persian poet Rumi's line to the effect that when the body suffers, the spirit rejoices.
