As odd as it is to hear myself typing this (we have exchanged verbal blows in the past), my thoughts on Bush and the war correspond precisely to Stirling Newberry's. That is, the only hope for the future credibility of the US with the world is to prosecute Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Perle for lying to the nation and for war crimes.

I never thought that we'd get to the point where even Andrew Sullivan, professional obtusifier, realizes that we've lost. Or rather, that we can't win.

So, if we lose the war in Iraq, who has won? Osama bin Laden?
